Information Flyer - Page 1

As you may know the site to the east and rear of 1 Mill Lane is in poor condition following last summer when most of the vegetation and trees on the site were stripped away. We have been working on a scheme which will result in the land being acquired from the current owner and the open space restored to a green, biodiverse state. This is something we believe strongly to be in the public interest.

It is however only possible to achieve our aim through enabling development. We have been designing a residential building comprising flats and houses massed along the Mill Lane frontage and enabling a significant new green open space to be created to the rear all the way back to Minster Road. The dilapidated building at 1 Mill Lane will be demolished as part of our proposals.

Over the last few months we have been talking to the Council and to some of the local residents however we feel it is now appropriate to engage with a wider audience so that we can move forward to submitting a planning application. We are keen to answer any questions you may have about the scheme and we would welcome your ideas and thoughts.
